  Easy Rides are perfect if you are new to cycling or simply prefer a shorter, slower, and more social ride. You’ll learn the basics of group riding, rules of the road, safety tips, and important do’s and don’ts—all in a supportive, no-pressure environment.

  These no-drop rides are led by experienced club members who love sharing their knowledge. You’ll gain confidence and become a safer cyclist while building strength, health, and fitness along the way.

  We have 6 different Easy Rides that provide a great overview of local cycling opportunities. For more information on each of these rides go to Meetup.

  
  

  Ride Options

  • Easy Ride: 20 miles at ~12 mph

  • Easy Plus: 30 miles at ~13 mph

  Both groups start out together and enjoy a relaxed social coffee stop before returning to the ride start.

  Requirements

  • Helmet

  • Bicycle in good working condition

  15TH ANNUAL ALL-CLUB RIDE & SUMMER PICNIC

  Join our annual CIBike picnic at Rincon Beach County Park (Bates Road near the north end of the Coast Bike Path) on Saturday, July 25th. Member registration for the picnic is now OPEN on the website. The picnic is available for club members (and their guest if registered and paid ahead of time on our website).

  The event includes four scenic ride options; three routes through the beautiful hills of Montecito beginning at Rincon Park (a 30 mile scenic route, a 35 mile moderate route, and a 40-mile super climber's route) and a family-friendly, flat bike ride (14 miles each way) along the coast from Ventura, all converging at Rincon Park for a picnic with friends!

  Food offerings are catered by Reynaldo’s of Carpinteria including their famous tamales (chicken, rajas, pork, and vegan/vegetables), salsa, beans, and rice (red and vegan) at noon. The picnic also includes drinks, chips, watermelon, and dessert.
