When a special event ride is ready for registration it will be posted on the home page and an email blast is sent to members announcing the event is open for registration. Multi-Day Rides Spring Fling This 4 day event is planned for April each year. Riders are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and meals. The rides take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning and they take place in the Solvang area. Single Day Rides LA Metro Bike & Train Start at the Moorpark Metrolink Train Station for 58-mile ride on mostly separated bike paths or bike lanes through Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley, Burbank, Griffith Park to the Los Angeles Union Station. Lunch is a food break at a club curated restaurant. This is a slow all-day ride. We will board the Metrolink BikeCar for our return trip. Watch Events for more info.
This event includes four scenic ride options. Three routes begin at Rincon Park and head toward the beautiful hills of Montecito (a 30 mile scenic route, a 35 mile moderate route, and a 40 mile super climber's route) and a 14 mile family-friendly coast ride starting from Ventura. They all converge at Rincon Park for a picnic with friends. Watch Events for more info. Hot August Nights Interested in a sundown and evening ride? This ride to Ojai goes north on the Bike Trail and includes dinner at Pappa Lennon's. Then finishes with an easy and cool ride back to Ventura. You MUST have a bright front light and rear tail light and reflective night bike clothes to participate. The leaders of this ride monitor the weather and select a great day for the ride. Watch Events for more info. Sulphur Mt. Gravel LoopThe Sulphur Mt Gravel loop begins in Ventura and connects to the west end of Sulphur Mt fire road for the 12 mile gravel section. It continues to upper Ojai where it returns to pavement and back to Ojai for a lunch and drinks. Finally, it heads back south to Ventura to complete the loop. The leaders of this ride monitor the weather and select a great day for the ride. Watch Events for more info. | Year Long Challenges Year Rounder The Year Rounder is a great way to set annual riding goals and stay motivated to keep riding. Signups are Watch You can make it as competitive or as relaxed as you like. To participate, simply complete a metric ride (at least 62 miles) each month or 4 full American Century (100 miles) within the same calendar year. If you miss a month, you can make it up by riding an extra metric ride either the month before or after the missed month. Signups are in January. Watch Events or contact Diane for more info. 100 mile Club Centuries CIBike hosts 3-4 100 mile centuries for members that includes full ride support. Do one or do them all. It provides the need for distance that some of our riders crave. They usually start in Ventura and there are a variety of routes. Watch Events for more info.
